ABOUT THIS PIECE
Perfect for standing in a window to catch the sun or to add to a display. Colours and textures may vary slightly with each purchase, as every individual glass sheet is unique. Intended for indoor display.
Glass comes to life when light shines through it. The colours and textures are beautifully illuminated when hanging in a window, catching the light or hung as a decoration. The light emphasises the unique qualities of each piece of glass, the textures, air bubbles (seeds) and waves (reams) in each sheet of glass. I actively look for these qualities to use in my work.
HOW IT’S MADE
This is made using the traditional Tiffany technique, each piece of glass is cut out by hand from a larger sheet of glass, filed down to shape if needed, copper foil is adhered around the pieces of glass and it is then, soldered to the key, cleaned, polished and polished again to finish.
